Tales of Loss

Tales of Loss is a 2D RPG set in the Stone Age where you have to form a group of heroes to face off against tons of primitive enemies. As usual the game's story calls upon you to save the world from destruction.

Tales of Loss's combat system is rather typical although it has a few interesting novelties. Your characters advance automatically through a 2D setting while they attack all the enemies who cross their path. So far so normal. That said, on the lower part of the screen squares will appear containing abilities you can use and chain together to form better versions of each.

In between combat phases you can improve your group of adventurers in the village. Here you can evolve your characters, level them up, equip them with more powerful weapons, etc. In all there are more than 150 characters to recruit and many other weapons to discover.

Tales of Loss is a fun RPG with quite an original setting and a combat system that's more entertaining than those of most titles in this genre. The game's graphics are also delightful.
